There's a weekend stacked full of live sporting action on the way, with some huge games in the GAA, rugby and more taking place. To help you decide on what to watch, we have put together a full list 0f live sport on TV this weekend in chronological order and three standout events that you will not want to miss.

  1. Friday @ 1pm- Irish Open Day 2, Sky Sports Golf/RTÉ 2
Sport on TV this weekend

The Irish Open returns this Thursday and there are some big names playing at Mount Juliet. US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick will appear alongside the likes of Tyrell Hatton, Shane Lowry and Seamus Power. Power will be hoping to build on his impressive form at the US Open which saw him finish in tied 12th place.

Pádraig Harrington is another man whose confidence will be sky high after being crowned US Senior Open champion last weekend. Four days of golf with a host of Irish players in the lineup, it's certainly one that you won't want to miss and is one of many sports on TV this weekend.

2. Saturday @ 8am-New Zealand v Ireland 1st Test, Sky Sports Main Event.

The eagerly awaited 1st Test between Ireland and New Zealand is almost here. Andy Farrell's side fell to a 32-17 defeat at the hands of the Maori All Blacks on Wednesday, but with a number of changes expected, Ireland will be keen to get off to the best possible start with a win at Eden Park.

The last time the sides met was back in November, with Ireland winning 29-20 at the Aviva stadium.

3. Sunday @ 3:30pm - Galway v Limerick, All-Ireland SHC semifinal, RTÉ 2/Sky Sports Arena

Sport on TV this weekend

There's a massive encounter this Sunday with reigning All-Ireland champions Limerick facing Galway for a place in the final. Limerick secured a place in the semifnal after an extra-time victory over Clare in the Munster SHC final.

Galway fell to a defeat in the Leinster final against Kilkenny but beat Cork 2-19 to 1-21 in the quarterfinals to set up a clash against John Kiely's side. This is certainly a game you won't want to miss.
