Pictures And Reaction: Longford Pull Off The Biggest Shock Of The Summer In Clones
By PJ Browne Updated

Longford have pulled of the biggest upset of this year's Championship.

In Clones, they defeated Ulster semi-finalists Monaghan who last weekend lost to Donegal after a replay.

A Robbie Smyth goal nine minutes from time proved crucial for Longford as they won by a goal.

It continues a remarkable record for Longford in the qualifiers. Two weeks ago, they defeated Down in Newry. It was their eight round one qualifier win in succession.
