The PSNI are on the case of a bunch of graffiti 'artists' who daubed the phrase 'UVF' across a pitch in Tyrone last week.

The Augher St. Macartan's club in Tyrone found that the letters had been scorched across the pitch with the use of 'a flammable substance'.

The Irish News reported the incident late last night. The police told the newspaper:

Graffiti was daubed on the pitch at premises on the Annaghilla road, Augher, sometime between 8.30pm on September 1 and 6pm the following day. It you saw anything or can help police with their enquiries, please call.

It is not the first time have been targeted in this way. In 2009, a similar incident was recorded.
