An Spideál defeated Micheál Breathnach by two points in the Galway IFC final replay on Sunday.
It took extra-time to separate the Connemara rivals. The game went to extra-time thanks to the heroics of Spiddal keeper Manus Breathnach.
His side a point down in the 63rd minute, Breathnach made a burst upfield to take possession on the Micheál Breathnach 45m line. After bouncing off one player, he then won a free following a high tackle by an opposition defender.

After receiving medical attention on the pitch, the Spiddal keeper then stepped up the heroics a level further by kicking the equalising free.
