Donaghmore Ashbourne club man Bryan Menton has criticised Ashbourne Credit Union for a post celebrating Dublin's All-Ireland final success last Saturday.

Dublin overcame Kerry in Croke Park to secure the historic five-in-a-row and it prompted the Credit Union to take to social media and congratulate Jim Gavin's men.

Joint-captain Menton responded to the post on social media criticising the celebration of their rivals.

Embarrassing and insulting to genuine Meath people from Ashbourne. Support where your from as an individual but for a business to post what they're posting on social media, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

The Meath midfielder faced Dublin earlier this summer in the Leinster final which finished 1-17 to 0-4.

It is not the first time the Credit Union irked local fans. Last year, a post organising transport to a Dublin match also received a strong reaction.
