Dublin County Committee have confirmed that Ger Cunningham has been appointed the new Dublin hurling manager. Cunningham had been widely tipped as Anthony Daly's successor and the Cork native has now been installed on a three year deal.

Cunningham steps into the role having most recently been involved in the inter-county scene as a coach and selector for Cork. Andy Kettle, the County Chairman, believes Cunningham is the man to take Dublin forward following the undoubted step forward which was taken during Daly's reign.

This is another chapter in Ger’s distinguished GAA life and I wish him every success in his new role. I am confident that Ger will build on the progress achieved by his predecessors over the next three years.
