May 4th 2012 is to be known as Rossie day in a small section of the universe otherwise known as Roscommon. This is to celebrate the u-21's making it to an All Ireland final which takes place on May 6th.

"An All-Ireland Final appearance by a Roscommon team is a special occasion and we feel it is an event worth celebrating," said Roscommon GAA County Board Chairman Michael Fahey.

"To mark this memorable time for all associated with the GAA in the county we are designating Friday, May 4 to be 'Rossie Day'. Lets colour the county Yellow and Blue."

All schools have been asked to get involved and two lucky schools will receive coaching sessions conducted by the Roscommon footballers.
