In the dying moments of the game, as Peter Crowley surged up the pitch, he was clattered to the ground by Kevin McManamon. Howls of 'foul' railed down from the Kerry supporters, but referee David Gough waved on, Dublin went straight up the other end and Diarmuid Connolly swung over a fine score to seal the game.

Was that shoulder-to-shoulder? The incident has cut ice online, with some theorizing that Gough may have missed the incident, but not through any fault of his own.
