Watch: Portlaoise Hurler Executes Outrageous Block In Leinster Final

Up against Kilkenny's Graigue-Ballycallan in Saturday's Leinster Intermediate Hurling Championship final, Portlaoise ultimately fell short.

On the wrong side of a 2-17 to 0-15 scoreline, it will be a source of little or no solace that Chris Lynch - a corner-back for Portlaoise on the day - provided one of the most impressively executed blocks you're likely to see.

Trailing the Kilkenny side by the goal, an impressive final win remained on the cards when Lynch carried out the move in the first half of Saturday's final.

With Sean Ryan bearing down on goal and looking for all the world to double the deficit, Lynch, with some impeccable timing, arrives on the scene to block down the shot mid-flight.

It's hard to pin-point just what part of this is the most impressive, but you'll have to watch it yourself below.
