It's day three of 'Raheem Sterling inhales things that he's not supposed to' and this time he has a partner in 'crime'. Pictures of the Liverpool winger, alongside teammate Jordan Ibe, in the vicinity of another shisha pipe have emerged and Brendan Rodgers must be starting to wonder if the 20 year old is worth all this fuss.

The Daily Mail have today published pictures of Sterling and Ibe holding a pipe apiece on a night out earlier this year. This follows pictures earlier this week of Sterling smoking from a shisha and, on a separate occasion, inhaling laughing gas from a ballon before appearing to pass out.

It must be said that these latest snaps do not actually show either player smoking, however, the implication is certainly there and Sterling's behaviour is undoubtedly becoming something of a thorny issue around Anfield. The fact that his ready made replacement, Ibe, was also pictured this time will only serve to increase unrest.

Some have suggested that the emergence of all these pictures is simply a ploy to force Liverpool into selling the England international. That would seem unlikely given that potential suitors may be less likely to take an expensive punt on him.

However, the Mail are also reporting that Man City don't seem to be too put off by the week's events. City have apparently moved ahead of Arsenal in the race to snap up Sterling when transfer saga season kicks into gear this summer.

City are said to be so keen that they will make a 'mega-bid' as soon as the transfer window opens. With Liverpool said to be holding out for £50 million you have to think a lot of fans would be happy to see them take that if the offer does in fact come in.
