Who would have believed that Joe Brolly and Kieran Donaghy's twitter back and forths were all pro-wrestling?

During the week, they had another online tiff (manufactured now, it transpires) over that whole Kerry-Tyrone thing back in the first decade of the 21st century.

Well-worn stuff.

At the time we said that monitoring the twitter banter of prominent GAA personalities was a thankless task but that someone had to "man that post."

In his Late Late show interview tonight, Donaghy was asked about he and Brolly.

He immediately referenced his and Brolly's fun on the twitter machine. Apparently, Brolly instigated the whole thing with a text beforehand. He was a bit bored and suggested a mini dust-up on twitter.

Donaghy said they were texting each other throughout the morning.

And he noted that certain fine and august publication had picked up on the twitter exchange and brought news of it to the masses.

Furthermore, Donaghy had this to say of Brolly.

I had my go off of him. But it was pure hop ball. He lets on that he doesn't like Kerry but he's actually obsessed with Kerry.
