Kildare have reached their first Leinster final since 2009 as they dispatched of Meath at Bord na Móna O'Connor Park in Tullamore on Saturday evening.

It was a blistering start that gave the Lillywhites the platform for the win, and despite a fightback from the Royal county in the second half they were able to re-assert their dominance and claim a comfortable nine-point victory, their biggest ever over Meath in the championship.

The final score was 0-13 to 2-16, with a first half goal from Cathal McNally followed in the second by Daniel Flynn getting a goal his overall performance greatly deserved.

Meath fans took to Twitter after the game to lament their side's performance, while a few fans of other counties were also on hand to give their view..
