The Sam Maguire Cup reportedly went missing in New York on Friday night.

The trophy, along with a number of Dublin players, was in attendance at the Mean Fiddler Bar and Grill on 47th Street, when Sam was taken.

According to The Sunday World, the cup was taken by two men to a New York hotel room. A video of the two shows one with the cup placed on his crotch. It also shows a man spitting into the cup.

Brian Fenton, Brian Howard, Con O'Callaghan and Michael Fitzsimons are among the All-Ireland winners on the trip. Manager Jim Gavin and backroom team member Bernard Dunne were also in New York.

It's said that GAA officials aware of the images.

The Dublin group have since made their way to Chicago. According to GAA Director of Communications, Alan Milton, Sam Maguire is back in their possession.
