Speaking on The Sunday Game, former Tyrone footballer Sean Cavanagh said he was "not impressed" with Kerry's Munster final performance against Cork on Saturday evening.

"If Kerry were in any other province, I don't think they're in the Super 8s right now," said the three-time All-Ireland winner.

You look at the brilliance of Clifford, you look at the brilliance of O'Shea and you'd be excited about the forward line but then you realise they've got a runway down the middle of their defence. Most of their defenders don't want to defend. They don't seem to have any sort of pattern or movement; they're not collectively working.

Peter Crowley was the lynchpin you were hoping would hold the whole thing together. He's now gone with the cruciate [injury] and boy was that evident.

You have to look at the reality here, a Division 3 team possibly should have beaten them. The space that was in Páirc Uí Chaoimh was ridiculous, you don't get that in football these days. It was always like a trial game or challenge game.

"I wasn't too impressed either," added Kerry great Tomás Ó Sé.

"The positives are we they've won a Munster Championship, they're at home for the first round of the Super 8s.

"I thought if Kerry went six or seven points up, Cork wouldn't have an answer for it; they did have an answer for it.

"When a team gets a run on Kerry, their defence struggles. They're not slowing them down enough around the middle of the field. They play a high press which means there's space at the back."
