One would think that Pat Spillane has all these analogies stored away in the back of his mind just waiting for an opportune moment to wheelbarrow them about.

And a wheelbarrow was certainly needed for last night's cumbersome analogy as he compared Limerick's deployment of the blanket defence to a cheap blanket bought from a "sweat shop in the Middle East".

Ciarán Whelan and Eamon O'Hara definitely enjoyed it.
