The polls have officially closed. The last stragglers have shuffled out of the polling booth and the winners can be announced.

Two Tipperary hurlers battled it out for top spot in the hurler of the weekend poll. The man commentators call 'Bubbles' may have taken home the Man of the Match gong at the weekend but he is pipped in our poll by his forward colleague Seamus Callanan.

Callanan struck 2-5 and was involved in a fearsome collision with Limerick goalkeeper Barry Hennessy. He lost his two front teeth as part of that coming together. However, after briefly departing for a blood sub, he returned to the field ten minutes later. There was only one winner after that....

Adrian Marron's 1-7 for Sligo at the weekend not only helped his county overcome Roscommon but it also earns him the title of footballer of the week, after he received 37% of the vote in our poll.

He pips Monaghan's Kieran Hughes, who was also hugely impressive in his side's demolition of Fermanagh in the Ulster semi-final.
