Galway captain, Fergal Moore, was lucky to get away with only slight concussion following this clash of heads with Kilkenny's, Walter Walsh, during yesterday's National Hurling League semi-final.

Just 10 minutes into the game, Moore challenged Walsh close to the sideline and both their heads collided. Walsh was visibly bloodied from the clash and Moore was treated on the pitch for close to 10 minutes.

He was kept overnight in Clonmel Hospital, and they're going to have a look at the scans today. They said that he was concussed and they checked him out this morning to see that everything was ok. I think that he'll be ok. Being kept overnight was more of a precaution than anything else. Slight concussion is what the diagnosis is.

Kilkenny won the game on a score of 1-24 to 1-17.
