The Australian Football League have a long history of attracting some of the best talents in the GAA to make the move down under.
The temptation to be a professional athlete is understandably a difficult prospect for any young sports person to turn down, but it doesn't make it any easier for the counties who want to see their best players staying put.
Ulster stars seem to be the flavour of the month for AFL scouts at the moment as there has been very public interest in Derry's Eoin McEvoy, Tyrone's Eoin McElholm and Fermanagh's Ultan Kelm.
As reported by Andy Waters in The Irish News, it appears that the Freemantle Dockers have made the decision to not recruit any international rookies this year.
The Dockers were interested in Tyrone's McElholm, who is widely regarded to be the next big thing from The Red Hand county.

The flying forward was the star man for his county as they lifted their second u20 All-Ireland in a row, and even made his debut for the senior team last season, coming on against Roscommon and kicking a point.
The Loughmacrory clubman was also called up to the Ulster team to trial the new rules in the inter-provincial tournament, and Malachy O'Rourke will be delighted to have him as an option, as he prepares for his first season as Tyrone manager.
Fermanagh's Kelm has made his feelings very clear about pursuing a career in Australia, and was all set to go before injuries and COVID-19 curtailed his travels.
Despite the sharp shooter's desire to leave, he will line out for the Erna county in 2025, much to the relief of Kieran Donnelly.
However, the Aussie's number one target has been Derry's McEvoy, and it has not yet been confirmed if the Oakleaf star will line out for Paddy Tally's team, or jet off down under.
McEvoy rapidly became one of his county's key men, playing at full back for the senior team at the age of 19, and transitioning seamlessly to the highest level.
Capable of playing in the half back line as well, the Magherafelt native scored two incredible goals against Dublin the Division One final as centre back, and those in the red and white county will desperately be hoping that he stays.
