Most people of an internet-using age would not admit to watching 'Up For The Match', but I have no shame in saying that I try to catch it every year. It's like Mass on Christmas, an obligation before an indulgence.I think last night's episode was far better than many other past editions. This was no doubt down to the strange presence of Galway hurling people in Montrose. While SBB nearly derailed the night with discussion of skinny jeans, the talk about the '88 Galway team was very well done. It is one of the mysteries of this GOAT Kilkenny team that they can summon not a morsel of romance (not that they do romance down there, just cold-blooded victory).
