Former Cork goalkeeper Donal Óg Cusack attacked the Rebels underage hurling structures and labeled them responsible for this year's underwhelming Championship campaign.

Cork's season ended today with a dire performance in their All Ireland quarter-final defeat to Galway by 2-28 to 22 points.

Cusack compared Cork manager Jimmy Barry Murphy to a substitute school teacher working in a poor area and criticised Cork GAA secretary Frank Murphy for the state of Cork Hurling.

I think there's a group of people around Frank actually a group of stooges and yes men that I'm not sure are telling Frank how bad things are.

They know as much about serious level of sport as I know about the sleeping habits of the Ayatollah.

Speaking on The Sunday Game, Cusack's criticism also extended to Cork clubs and he suggested that Cork hire a director of hurling to evaluate the Rebel's infrastructure county-wide.
