Anthony Daly found it rather amusing. And he made the obvious reference to the Brian Gavin-Tommy Walsh incident in the 2011 All-Ireland final.

Diarmuid Kirwan hit the floor after throwing the ball in at the start of the second half in Nowlan Park. He attempted to back-track at speed after firing the ball in amongst the forest of legs, but Michael Fennelly appeared to catch the bottom of his legs with a swipe and Kirwan hit the floor.

He was hobbling for a while afterwards.
