Damien Hayes retired from inter-county hurling today after a 13-year Galway career which saw him win three all-stars (2005, 2010, 2012), two League titles (2004, 2010) and a Leinster title in 2012.

While there's no All-Ireland senior inter-county medal there (as is the case with every Galway hurler in the past two decades) there is bucketloads of club success to recall.

Here's Hayes at his best, manufacturing a goal from nothing in the opening few minutes of the 2010 League Final victory over Cork.
