If you missed this news from the late last week - it has transpired that Jimmy from the 'Jimmy's Winning Matches' video won't accompanying his mate Rory to Ireland this week for the inevitable 'Up For The Match' appearance and whatever hoopla may be going down in Donegal this week. The song won't be the same.
Even Pat The Cope couldn't sort it out. Here's the statement from Rory:
After lenghthly discussions with Pat the Cope unfortunately with the time frame bing so short it was NOT POSSIBLE to obtain a Visa for Senegal Jimmy in time for the All Ireland final. Jimmy (real name Bamba) had a meeting this week in the Senegalize embassy in Madrid where he was advised that he would have to return to Senegal to submit the correct paperwork for visa application. He still hopes to have a visa by mid october and would then love to visit Donegal to join in the Celebrations with Sam!!, Jimmy will be watching the Game in Lanzarote and hopes everybody screams UP DONEGAL!! when Rory is doing the warm up gigs next week.
