WATCH: A Terrific Montage That Stirs The Soul And Makes You Happy The Championship Is Here

We live in the era of the sporting montage, an era kickstarted, many believe, by RTE's post-2002 World Cup montage, featuring the song 'Just a Day' from Feeder accompanied by Jim Beglin talking about big toe areas.

If the Jacob's Awards were still going, they'd have to have a category for Best Sporting Montage. (The awards were discontinued in 1993 presumably because Marian Finucane could no longer fit all hers in her house).

A definite contender for the sporting montage of 2016 arrives to us today.

Joe Coffey of the Newstalk Team 33 podcast has put together a thrilling and wonderful montage to herald the beginning of the championships season.
