A Pre-Match GAA Pitch Invasion?

Fair enough, we've seen a couple of great GAA moments in recent weeks that advocate pitch invasions but deciding to invade the pitch before it even starts is a step too far.

That's exactly what happened before the start of tonight's Munster minor final replay between Limerick and Waterford in Thurles.

In all seriousness though – what actually happened was that they had originally only opened one stand at the match but then had to open the stand on the far side of the pitch to ease the crowd overflow. Kind of ironic that the GAA's Plan B in this case actually involved encouraging a pitch invasion.
