Arsenal fans have gotten their hands on FIFA 23, and have voiced their opinions online about their team's bizarre appearance on the newly released game.

Early look at Arsenal on FIFA 23

With early access granted to those who pre-ordered the ultimate edition of FIFA 23 yesterday, Arsenal fans have already got a glimpse of how their players appear. Supporters of the North London side have expressed their amusement on their players in-game versions

Manager Problems

It isn't just the players that have been badly represented in the latest edition. Arsenal's manager Mikel Arteta seems to have been painted by the same digital brush.

What confuses fans even more is that the Spaniard is in recent editions of the game as a player. As the Arsenal boss only retired back in 2016, it would have been easy for FIFA to simply update his player model for the game.

Sharp Contrast

The 3-time Premier League Champions seem to be the only team to not have a resemblance to their actual selves. Argentinian superstar and current PSG forward, Lionel Messi is a sharp contrast to how Ben White and company look.

Player Ratings

The Gunners' problems are not only visual. Despite their impressive start to the season their players' ratings have not improved that much. Their marquee summer signing, Gabriel Jesus's rating of 82 has not changed despite recording 4 goals and 3 assists in the first 7 games.

Konami Partnership

One possible reason for Arteta's Arsenal side being badly represented in FIFA 23 is their official partnership with Konami. Konami is one of EA's biggest competitors with their annual football game PES. The Japanese Entertainment company recently announced a new long-term deal with Arsenal League in August this year.

FIFA Release Date

FIFA 23 will be available on the 30th of September on the Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. You'll have to wait till then to play with this group of Arsenal lookalikes, unless you pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition - which means you can play right now!
