With the days ticking down to the release of FIFA 23, we've compiled a list of the best free agent options to sign in your career mode.

The game will officially be out on September the 27th with many gamers looking forward to the last edition of the FIFA series after EA Sports and the football governing body split from their exclusive partnership.

Like previous editions, the game will include game modes such as Volta, Ultimate Team or Career Mode.

If you decide to focus on FIFA 23 Career Mode and hope to bring Luton Town to the Champions League from the Championship, free agents will prove vital.

These players can prove to be good rotation options when the European competitions get underway and can help out with your reserve team.

In FIFA 23, there is a variety of players of all ages available for a free transfer.

The Portuguese midfielder helped Lille to a surprise title win in Ligue 1 in the 2020/21 season. Only 27 years old, he could be the midfield lynchpin for your side for a couple of years.

Danny Rose

The former Tottenham left back is available as a free agent after his contract ran out at Watford. Would be a good rotation option off the bench although you'll hope he won't bother you why he isn't playing every week like his real-life counterpart did to Mourinho in 2020.

Adel Taarabt

The Moroccan midfielder had a career dotted with brilliance but which was ultimately inconsistent. His experience could nonetheless help with crucial games during your career mode.
