A Great Tradition Has Been Upheld In The FIFA 23 Ratings
By Eoin Harrington Updated

The players with five-star skill ratings have been revealed in the latest FIFA 23 player card drop.

There are, of course, some expected names there, with the likes of Kylian Mbappé and Cristiano Ronaldo leading the way.

For Irish football fans, however, there is one enjoyable inclusion on the list.

It's hard to remember a time that Aiden McGeady was not designated a five-star skiller on the game and, even as he enters the twilight of his career, the Hibernian winger has been included once again as the FIFA 23 ratings continue to be revealed.

The "McGeady spin" skill move is, of course, named after the Hibs man, who won 93 caps for Ireland across a 13-year international career.

The iconic spin is just one of the skill moves that McGeady has in his catalogue, and his skillful play has once again been rewarded in the FIFA 23 ratings.

Even at the age of 36, it is great to see McGeady's skills be reflected in the game.

There is another veteran near the top of the list of five-star skillers, with 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo once again making an appearance, despite having moved away from the pacey wing play which defined his first spell at Manchester United.

French superstar Kylian Mbappé is the highest-rated five star skiller, as one of the five players in the FIFA 23 ratings who are rated at 91.

The full list of five-star skillers from the FIFA 23 ratings is as follows:
