We have taken a look below at four of the best new games to play this summer.

F1 23

We've already written about the upcoming F1 Manager 2023 game, but what about its driving counterpart?

F1 23 will release across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via EA App, Epic Games Store and Steam, on June 16.

Senior Creative Director Lee Mather at game developers Codemasters said about the game: “The return of Braking Point allows players to immerse themselves in a racing story, with a host of new and returning characters and surprising twists.

"We’re adding more race authenticity by introducing red flags and the 35% race distance, giving players more strategy and unpredictability. Our refined handling delivers more predictable behaviour and better traction to help players attack the circuit and get on the podium.”

Street Fighter VI

We are cheating here as the game has already been released, but we had to include the return of the arcade fighting classic.

It is the series' first instalment since 2016's Street Fighter V, and has already received universal acclaim, with a Metacritic score of 90 or over on all platforms.

"From the mechanics to the characters, and even the visual flourishes that adorn every attack, Street Fighter 6 is peak fighting games. This is a traditional, grounded fighter that feels entirely modern and fresh thanks to the Drive Gauge and everything that surrounds it," wrote Sports Illustrated.

Immortals Of Aveum

This new game from EA, set to be released on June 20, is essentially a first person shooter, but instead of guns, magic is used.

From the game site: "Summon your power, stop the Everwar, save the realms. Immortals of Aveum is a single-player first person magic shooter that tells the story of Jak as he joins an elite order of battlemages to save a world on the edge of abyss."

Atlas Fallen

Atlas Fallen is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Deck13 Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment, and is set to be released on all platforms on August 10.

From the game's website: "Battle legendary creatures alone or with a friends. Hunt mythical monsters in heroic, super-powered combat and unleash the power of your gauntlet to create deadly shape-shifting weapons.

"Rise as the ultimate champion and shape your playstyle. Wield the essence of this world to create your own custom playstyle and forge a new era for humanity."
