The latest trailer for Hitman 3 has arrived and it looks like players will be get to be at the centre of their very own whodunit.

The trailer showcases the location of the second mission in the upcoming game. The mission is titled 'The Thornbridge Mystery' and sees Agent 47 take the place of a detective called in to investigate an apparent suicide which takes place at Thornbridge manner. But a suicide it was not.

The trailer teases that any member of the family may have been the murderer. Disguised as the detective investigating the death of one of their family members nobody will be suspecting Agent 47.

Anyone who is getting serious Knives Out vibes from the storyline, you aren't alone. From the way the manor looks both from the outside and inside we can't help but be reminded of the film that was released last year. Take a look for yourself below and see what you think.

An Epic Exclusive

Although the trailer of the latest mission looks great, fans of the series were not pleased when it was revealed yesterday that, in terms of PC, the next installment of the franchise was going to be an Epic Store timed exclusive.

Speaking about the decision, IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak, said that the partnership allowed them to make the game they wanted:

Self-publishing Hitman 3 is a big step for IO Interactive in achieving our highly ambitious goals as an independent studio,

Furthermore, this partnership with Epic has given us the freedom to create the game exactly as we imagined, for our fans and for our community uncompromised.

Hitman 3 will be the final game of the trilogy which first launched back in 2016. From that point of view, it's understandable that the developers would want to make the best version of the game they could get. But how will their fans respond?

The game will release in January 2021 on Playstation, Xbox and PC.
