After an 8 year hiatus, EA Sports are about to make their long-awaited return to Golf.
EA Sports PGA Tour: Road to the Masters is set to release on April 7th, coinciding with the second round of The Masters.
AUGUSTA NATIONAL RETURNS
EA Sports' last Golf entry was back 2015 with Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, with 2K's PGA Tour series occupying the space these past few years. EA's return to the golf gaming sphere also marks the return of Augusta National as a playable course, with the legendary course appearing in a game for first time since Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14, which released over a decade ago.
Road To The Masters will launch with a total of 30 playable courses. Included in these are iconic venues like Pebble Beach and TPC Sawgrass, which both featured in EA's official course playthrough livestream featuring TheApexHound and game developer Ben Ramsour.
Ahead of the release, Augusta National is set to host the Road To The Masters Invitational on April 2nd, a tournament that will see 8 celebrity participants battle it out on the game with the event being streamed across both EA's and The Masters' website and social channels.
A heaven-sent event for anyone looking for an early dose of a Masters Sunday.
