Golf fans rejoice, because the iconic series will be making a return to our screens very soon. But when will EA Sports PGA Tour be released?

We have gone without a golf game from the studio since 2015, with the next-gen consoles set to bring a whole new dimension to the franchise.

Here's what we know about the upcoming game.

Unfortunately, we still have a while to wait before getting our hands on the game.

The EA website says that the game will be released in spring of 2022, with no specific date given as of yet.

 

Will the four majors be in EA Sports PGA Tour?

Yes! All four of golf's flagship events will be part of the game.

You will be able to take part in The Masters, The Open, the US Open, and the PGA Championship on your console.

The Players Championship and FedEx Cup are also set to be major parts of the title.

What courses will be in EA Sports PGA Tour?

There is no full list of courses available as of yet, but we do know some that will be included.

Augusta National will be present as the host of The Masters, while St. Andrew's will also be included as the venue for the 2022 edition of The Open. It has also been confirmed that 2022 PGA Championship course Southern Hills will be in the game.

EA Sports have also previously said that Pebble Beach Golf Links and Kiawah Island Gold Resort’s Ocean Course will feature.

The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts and Torrey Pines Golf Course are two others likely to be found.

You can expect a number of other courses that frequent the PGA Tour to be included.

 

What players will be in EA Sports PGA Tour?

No players have been confirmed as of yet, although you can expect some of the biggest names in golf to be included.

Rory McIlroy had a previous partnership with EA Sports, making him a likely contender. However Tiger Woods has signed an exclusive deal with 2k which is set to rule him out of featuring.

You'd hope we will see the best players included in the game.

 

What game modes will be in EA Sports PGA Tour?

Career mode will be the staple of the title, with: "golf fans will be able to build their virtual career and experience the sights, sounds, and thrills of the PGA TOUR" according to EA Sports.
