Bill Murray is the man.

A man who's funniness transcends generations, the Caddyshack, Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, Space Jam, Lost In Translation, and Zombieland star is also a keen fan of golf, and regularly lights up the course whenever a Pro Am is in town.

That's why we were delighted to hear that Bill Murray has teamed up with the parent company of The Chive to launch a custom brand of Golf clothing that will go under the name 'William Murray Golf'.

The idea for 'William Murray Golf' essentially came from this t-shirt:

You've surely seen it before, as theChive.com released it six years ago and it has proven to be one of the most popular t-shirts sold on the internet.

After designing a logo which is essentially Bill Murray throwing his putter away in disgust, the first images of the range of golf wear that will be available on October 20th have emerged.

Here are the pics that we have seen so far from the various sneek peaks on the williammurraygolf Instagram page, and we have to say we can see these being a massive hit.

Awesome. And there will be a lot more to see closer to release date.

Even the blurb on site is fantastic:

Home of Bill Murray's own golf polos, button-ups, golf shorts, hats and T-shirts. The perfect style on or off the course, straight from the mind of the world's most irreverent golfer, Bill Murray.

A fantastic idea, we wish Bill the best of luck with it, although we doubt he'll need it.
