The video of Bubba Watson's hovercraft golf cart became an internet sensation when it floated onto YouTube back in April.
Now the Windy Knoll Golf Club in Springfield, Ohio has become the first to purchase a pair of the vehicles and make them available to rent.
MD of the club, Pete Duffey, knew that they had to have them once he saw the YouTube video:
We wanted to be able to offer something no other course could. A way to further put Windy Knoll Golf Club on the map of public destination golf courses. It was an easy decision. When we saw them on YouTube, we said 'We gotta have those!'
The hovercrafts, which are being unveiled on July 27th are certain to be a major draw. Both have 65 horsepower engines and are capable of reach speeds of 50mph while at the same time only having a tiny footprint pressure.
