Dustin Johnson hit a wayward tee-shot on the 10th at the US Open. At the time, he was level with Shane Lowry on five-under at the top of the leaderboard.

Johnson's drive ended up in some deep rough. It was a lie which would have made getting to the green a real struggle.

However, a TV tower obstructed his route to the pin. It meant Johnson was allowed a free drop shot as it is classified as an 'immovable obstruction'.

That drop shot not only took him out of the deep rough, it put him on the fairway. Though it was the fairway for the 11th rather than the 10th.

On commentary for Sky Sports, Colin Montgomerie called it a 'break of all time'.

Reaction of Irish golf fans was one of incredulity.
