Heading into this week's BMW Championship at Wentworth, there was a lot of tension in the air. Billy Horschel, Jon Rahm and Shane Lowry were a number of the PGA Tour members who voiced their displeasure at some of the LIV Golf contingent being allowed play at the DP World Tour event.

One of the 17 LIV golfers allowed to play this weekend was Ian Poulter. Due to his suspension from DP World Tour events being on hold, Poulter along with the likes of Lee Westwood and Talor Gooch were allowed to take part.

A bystander captured a tense conversation between Poulter and Billy Horschel - one of the most outspoken anti-LIV golfers on the Tour.

No audio could be heard but the tension was palpable between the two.

However Poulter remedied the situation this morning by sharing a new version of the video with an audio track - a fictional conversation between himself and Horschel dubbed over the tense video. Poulter's tartan pants get a mention, as does Rod Stewart. It's very funny, and a credit to the Postman.

It was a great use of the off day that the golfers were gifted yesterday.

Horschel and Lowry's views on the LIV Golf contingent

Speaking earlier this week about the Saudi backed breakaway players being given permission to play the DP World Tour event, Horschel labelled the golfers as "hypocritical" and that they were only playing to gain world ranking points.

Horschel said:

I honestly don’t think that the American guys who haven’t supported the Tour should be here.

Abraham Ancer, Talor Gooch... you’ve never played this tournament, you’ve never supported the DP World Tour. Why are you here?

You are here for one reason only and that’s to try to get world ranking points because you don’t have it (on LIV Golf). It’s hypocritical because of what some of these guys have said when they said they wanted to play less golf.

Horschel likely still has an issue with the US players taking part at Wentworth this weekend, but it's good to see that there's been no love lost between him and Ian Poulter.

Shane Lowry also made his feelings clear on the LIV Golf rebels saying that "There's certain guys I just can't stand them being here".

Speaking to Sky Sports, Lowry said:

I can't say I'm 100% okay with everyone being here. There's some of the guys I kind of don't mind them being here, given what they've done for the tour over the years. There's certain guys I just can't stand them being here, to be honest.

I don't like it that they're here and I think, to be honest, the one thing that has really annoyed me over the last few months is how disruptive they're all trying to be.

I get that they're all here to get world ranking points and I get that - but in a way, I think they're here for that, and to be disruptive. I don't think they're here for anything else.

Anyone who knows me knows I don't like confrontation, I don't like any of that stuff. So, look, I'll say hello, I'll do my thing. That's the way I'll be.

There's certain lads I'll shake hands with, there's certain lads I wouldn't.

There's a long way to go if relationships between the LIV Golf members and PGA Tour are ever rectified, but the issue over the eligbility of these players to take part at the BMW Championship remains.
