Our favourite golfer (along with this guy), Miguel Ángel Jiménez, has finally won the Spanish Open at the 27th attempt - and he credited the very things that make us love him for his popular victory.
He came out on top of a three-way playoff at the PGA Catalunya, Girona, to win the Open de España, becoming the first player over the age of 50 to win a European Tour event. He already held the record for being the oldest player to win on the tour, but this was his first victory since reaching his half-century.
"I've played so many times in the Spanish Open, it's great to finally win it, it's amazing to win the national Open of my country," Jimenez told Sky Sports after his victory.
"Every title is special, and you don't like to say one is better than the other but to win the Spanish Open is very, very important to me.
"There's no words to describe what it means to me, you need to be into my skin but I'm not going to let you!. It's amazing. It's my 21st victory on the European Tour and 27 times I played the Spanish Open. I have been close a couple of times. Today it was very tough out there but I got it in the end."
When asked what his secret was his reply was just what we've come to expect and love from El Mecánico:
"It's no secret, just good food, good wine, good cigars and a bit of exercise - simple."
At first, I was pretty convinced he said "good food, good wine and some sex at times", but alas, no. Either way, he's still a legend and a hero of the highest order. He also might as well have said it anyway - he married for the second time just a fortnight ago, in pretty legendary fashion, of course.
