LIV Golf trio, Talor Gooch, Matt Jone, and Hudson Swafford, have failed in their bid to have their PGA Tour bans lifted for the end of season FedEx Cup play-off events, which begin this week.
US District Court Judge, Beth Labson Freeman, ruled that the suspension was not causing 'irreparable harm' the players, citing the money they are guaranteed by LIV Golf, as a key factor in her decision.
The FedEx Cup play-off tournaments feature the best golfers in the world and a lucrative prize-fund, and are the most prestigious events outside of major championships, The Players Championship, and WGC events.
The litigator for the players, Robert Walter, argued that the men stood to lose stood to lose financially but also in terms of qualification for major tournaments in the future.
LIV Golf Statement
LIV Golf released a statement, saying that,
We're disappointed that Talor Gooch, Hudson Swafford and Matt Jones won't be allowed to play golf. No one gains by banning golfers from playing."

World no.2 golfer and Open Champion, Cameron Smith, has been heavily linked with a move to the LIV Golf Tour, and increased speculation on Tuesday, when he remained coy on the issue.
"My goal here is to win the FedEx Cup play-offs," said Smith. "That's all I'm here for. If there's something I need to say regarding the PGA Tour or LIV, it will come from Cameron Smith, not Cameron Percy.
"I'm a man of my word and whenever you guys need to know anything it will be said by me. Like I said, I'm here to play the FedEx Cup play-offs. That's been my focus the last week and a half, that's what I'm here to do. I'm here to win the FedEx Cup play-offs."
World no. 1, Scottie Scheffler, reiterated his stance that he will not be joining LIV Golf, and that he intends to remain a PGA Tour member, "where the best golfers in the world play."
