Padraig Harrington's Incredible Positivity Shines Through In Post-Victory Sky Sports Interview

Padraig Harrington won the Portugal Masters on Sunday evening, finishing a shot clear of Andy Sullivan to claim the title.

Harrington was a shot clear going into the final hole, requiring just a par for victory. A less than optimal second shot left him in a bit of bother but the three-time major winner showed remarkable nerve to get up and down in the two shots he required to win the tournament.

It was his first tournament win since March of last year. That was the Honda Classic. It's also his first European Tour win in eight years.

Speaking to Sky Sports after collecting the trophy, Harrington was reminded about the lengthy gap since his last win on the European Tour. It was quickly batted away as the 45-year-old's resilient self-belief shone through.

I've won plenty since then though. I've been winning one a year for the last number of years. I'm comfortable enough that there's going to be a win. Every year you want one and I haven't had one this year. I'll be able to put 2016 down as a winning year.
