Patrick Reed appeared to misidentify his ball during the third round at the Dubai Desert Classic, after it got stuck in a tree.
It appeared to be an honest mistake, but a number of onlookers on Twitter have been calling him out for cheating.
Towards the end of today's round, Reed drove his ball into a tree, meaning that he would have to identify it or be forced to hit his third back from the tee box.
Using binoculars, Reed claimed to a rules official that he had spotted his ball. However, viewers are positive that the ball went into a different tree.
The rules official agreed with Reed's view of the matter, and the American was allowed a penalty drop beside the tree, before going onto bogey the hole.

The headlines this week were dominated by the driving range spat between Reed and Rory McIlroy, which saw the Irish golfer ignore Reed before the American threw a tee in his direction.
McIlroy then made it very clear that he had no interest in conversing with Reed, who he had been recently subpoenaed by.
“I mean, exactly, right. "Like that's - I mean, I got a subpoena on Christmas Eve. I mean, I don't see your - like. you can't pretend like nothing's happening, right.
“Yeah, I was subpoenaed by his lawyer on Christmas Eve. So of course, trying to have a nice time with my family and someone shows up on your doorstep and delivers that, you're not going to take that well.
“So again, I'm living in reality, I don't know where he's living. If I were in his shoes, I wouldn't expect a hello or a handshake.”
