Shane Lowry Calls Love/Hate Actor's Bluff After His Ballsy WGC Promise

If there was anyone who summed up just how much the country cared about Shane Lowry's WGC victory, it was Laurence Kinlan. The Love/Hate actor's tweets from Sunday night were as incessant as they were desperate. If anyone was in any doubt about just how much Kinlan wanted to see the Offaly man bring home his first PGA Tour title then this may sum it up.

We were with you in spirit Laurence (although we had the good sense not to tweet that to over 21,000 people).

As we all know, Lowry did go on to record that victory after some sensational recovery shots and Kinlan quickly forgot (or didn't care) about his promise.

However, that was never going to be the end of it. After taking a few hours away from social media to celebrate his victory, Lowry was soon back tweeting and retweeting away when he obviously came across Kinlan's promise.

There was no way he'd let him away with that.

When everyone's favourite sportsmen lays down that kind of challenge, there's not much you can do. Over to you Laurence.
