In Pictures: Shane Lowry's Clara Homecoming Is Pure Joy

Thousands turned out in Shane Lowry's home village of Clara on Tuesday evening to welcome The Open champion home to Offaly.

The scenes were ones of pure joy with Lowry appearing on stage with his family, including his grandmother, the 82-year-old Emily Scanlon.
