Cheltenham Day 1 Tips: Brighterdaysahead Ready To Claim Champion Hurdle Glory

The wait is finally over; the 2025 Cheltenham Festival is here. We've got all of your Cheltenham tips on what should be an unforgettable day of racing.

Four days of top-class national hunt racing where the best of Ireland take on the best of the British in the Olympics of horse racing.

Day one of the Cheltenham Festival kicks off with the Grade 1 Michael O'Sullivan Supreme Novices' Hurdle, where the Willie Mullins-trained KOPEK DES BORDES will take all the beating.

It could be a terrible start to the Cheltenham Festival for the bookmakers as MAJBOROUGH looks likely to take the Grade 1 Arkle Novices' Chase for that man again, Willie Mullins.

It's a shame that LOSSIEMOUTH has been rerouted to the Mares Hurdle instead of taking her chance in the Champion Hurdle, but you can see why connections have chosen to go down that route after her horror fall in the Irish Champion Hurdle. If she shows no ill effects from her fall at the DRF, then she should take the world of beating in the Mares Hurdle.

But the clash we have all been waiting for will happen at 4:00 in the Champion Hurdle, as Constitution Hill will go head-to-head with the superstar mare, BRIGHTERDAYSAHEAD.

On the back of her 30-length demolition job in the Grade 1 Neville Hotel Hurdle, Brighterdaysahead could be about to hand Gordon Elliott his first-ever Champion Hurdle. Constitution Hill is given the utmost respect, but he may not be able to give Brighterdaysahead 7 lbs and a beating.
