Here Are Some Fairyhouse Fancies To Make It A Great Easter Weekend

Ah the Easter weekend, thank you for allowing us a time of leisure and chocolate overindulgence, we truly don't know how good we have it.

The Easter Festival at Fairyhouse begins on Saturday, kickstarting three days of stellar racing in County Meath and Ladbrokes have tips for all three days of the Festival.

Fairyhouse Saturday

Two horses who impressed at Cheltenham will juke it out in the 14.20 on Saturday.

Elimay lost out to Colreevy at the Festival in a terrific tussle, but the distance at Fairyhouse could be perfect for her this time out.

The opposite could be said of Mount Ida, who's also in this race, as although she won a handicap at Cheltenham, the drop back in distance may hinder her chances.

Even though she has to concede six pounds to Mount Ida, we fancy Elimay to take this one.

The 16.15 on Saturday contains a fiercely competitive field and one horse that we feel could thrive in better conditions is Ruaille Buaille.

It's a supreme vote of confidence from Paul Townend to take the saddle on her rather than her stablemates, but a lot is dependent on the ground at the track.

She won both her bumper and maiden hurdle on sound ground, but came unstuck in poor conditions at the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown.

Should the ground keep up, anticipate Ruaille Buaille to have her say come the end of the race.

Fairyhouse Sunday

The 14.50 on the Sunday at Fairyhouse could see a coming out party for Echoes In Rain.

If her last performance at Naas is anything to go by, she could be the one to beat here. She does has a tendency to become reactive and nervy, but if the ground stays and she's relaxed, Echoes In Rain could spring from the field to win.

Similarly to Echoes In Rain, Jungle Junction is another horse that could spring into action if the ground allows in the 16.25.

That isn't even where the similarities end, with Jungle Junction also impressing in victory last time out at Naas.

Connections won this very race last year so he could very well be a solid each way choice.

Fairyhouse Monday

It's the day of the big one, the Irish Grand National. Tiger Roll is heading to Aintree, but we have some other tips to tickle your fancy.

For an outright win, it's hard to look beyond Sempo.

The horse has been primed for this race seemingly for the last year, but there have been a few issues in the interim. Sempo has unseated his jockey in two of his last five starts, but his connections have sharpened him up by running him over two miles in his last two outings.

He'll relish the extreme test and the chance at good ground and he'll be the one to beat here.

TIP: Sempo - Fairyhouse Monday 17.00

If you're looking for something bigger, may we interest you in Opposites Attract?

Form shows that he's run well against big hitters like Latest Exhibition in previous races, and good ground here could see him improve further.

The trainer of Opposites Attract, Dermot McLoughlin, has a knack for getting the most out of staying chasers and he could run into the money at a huge price.

TIP: Opposites Attract - Fairyhouse Monday 17:00
