It must have been extremely frustrating to be the Spicer Cub's jockey, Xavier Perez.

Perez had his ride out in front coming into the turn only for him to bolt to the side without warning. He managed to get the horse back in line only for it to happen again, except even more extreme this time. The horse runs completely out of camera.

The jockey again manages to somehow get Spicer Cub back in contention again, leading the commentator to exclaim "do you believe in miracles?".

It was all in vain though as he lost on the line by a short head.
