Last night, Katie, Ted and Ruby Walsh appeared on the Late Late Show after an eventful few weeks that saw Ruby break his leg on the second day of Cheltenham while Katie won the bumper.

The Walsh family have given a phenomenal service to Irish racing and Friday night's show was a vivid insight into the makings of both Ruby and Katie as well as the personal difficulties they have had to overcome in order to get to the top of their game.

One such difficulty for Katie, the youngest in the family, was a stammer as a child. This led to other problems such as bullying in school.

Katie went on to enjoy phenomenal success as a jockey including the highest ever female finish in the Grand National as well as the third ever women to win the Irish Grand National.

The trio combined to give an exceptional interview varying from insights into riding in the Grand National to their own family dynamic. Ruby has ridden in ten Grand Nationals with two wins under his belt but remains injured this year. However, Katie is set to rid Baie Des Iles in that race this year and look to add another prize to her already impressive haul.
