Sky Sports At The Races presenter Hayley Moore was involved in a very perilous incident today at Chepstow, after she took it upon herself to stop a runaway horse.

The daughter of trainer Gary Moore and brother of jockey Ryan, was working at the event as an on-course reporter. Moore was on the scene for the Bet And Watch At 188bet.co.uk Handicap, when the David Evans-trained Give Em A Clump stumbled and unseated his rider Fran Berry.

After the race, the horse came galloping down the track and Moore, who used to be an amateur rider herself, stepped in front of the horse and managed to grab its reins, bringing it to a halt, while just about avoiding being trampled by the animal:

Incredibly brave by Moore, though perhaps a tad foolhardy as well.

After the incident, a clearly breathless Moore a was back reporting and told At The Races she couldn't bear to see the horse do another lap:

They'll have to put the divot back in, but luckily it's on the jumps track so they'll have time to get the truck on the track! I just couldn't bear to see it go out on another lap, so I thought I'd go for it.

Moore's heroics did not go unnoticed online:
