Arsenal legend and member of The Invincibles Lauren exclusively told Ladbrokes Fanzone that Bukayo Saka would be the only current Arsenal player to make it into the 2003/2004 Invincibles team.

Lauren joined the Gunners in 2000 and spent the longest spell of his career in London. He established himself as an important player for the team and played 159 games over his seven years at Arsenal. He also earned 24 caps for Cameroon.

In the exclusive interview given to Ladbrokes Fanzone, the Cameroonian full back gave his thoughts on this Premier League season and of course, on Mikel Arteta's team.

Arsenal legend Lauren praises Bukayo Saka

Lauren came back on the incredible season Arsenal are having this year. He believes that this is the best squad Arteta can have and that this team "doesn't need strengthening":

I don’t think that Arsenal need to worry about summer signings in this moment of time, just believe in those players that we have already.

Despite praising the whole squad on their form this season, Lauren sees Saka as the stand-out player of the squad. He particularly parised his ability to step up for big matches:

I would pick the whole squad instead of one player of the season, but if I had to pick just one, then it's got to be Bukayo Saka. The boy has scored big penalties when the pressure is on and he’s scoring goals. The pressure he makes in order to win that ball and score the second goal, he has been absolutely the best player for Arsenal this season.

When asked about choosing in between Arsene Wenger's The Invincibles or this season's team, he stated that he'd rather go with the 2003/2004 squad. However, he still had a little word for Saka as Lauren claims that he would have been able to break into The Invincibles' team:

The Invincibles generation was fantastic, and I would stick with them first, but if I had to pick someone from the current Arsenal squad to make it then it would be Bukayo Saka.

Lauren's Premier League prediction

The 2003/2004 league winner exclusively told Ladbrokes Fanzone that at this point of the season, he believes Arsenal will win the league:

I like to think in a positive way, so why would I think that Arsenal are not going to win the Premier League? The team is doing well, playing a lot of good quality football overall and they show us they can manage the pressure in adversity.

He was not as kind to their North London rivals. Lauren revealed that he thinks that Tottenham will go downhill from now on as for him they "always collapse at some point":

Spurs somehow showed a very good game against Man City at home, very aggressive and they played very well and very impressive going forward but they always collapse at some point, and I believe they will collapse between now and the end of the season.

It is fair to say that Lauren believes that the future is bright for his old team and that the best is yet to come for Arteta and his players.
