The Irish fry up may be the greatest, most heart attack inducing breakfast in the world but as every single one of us knows, there's absolutely no reason to confine it to the morning. Throw a few spuds in there, mix it up and all of a sudden you have the kind of dinner that make not look Michelin Star quality but tastes better than gold leafed truffles ever could.

Conor McGregor returned to Ireland for the first time in eight months this weekend and to prove that he hasn't lost his common touch, he's decided to share his dinner with the world.

He forewent the spuds (for fear of branching into cliche territory perhaps) but nonetheless, the fry is there and he's topped it off with the pastime that really brings the country together. Sitting down with your dinner on your lap and tuning into Reeling in the Years for the umpteenth time, it's the great leveller in Irish society.

We would suggest that there is a distinct lack of black pudding there but he's been away for a while so we won't be too critical.

Speaking to Andrew McGahon of Severe MMA, McGregor explained just how glad he was to be back home with the opportunity to put his feet up for a few days after a lengthy promotional stint in America.
