Questions have been raised in recent weeks over whether or not we're ever going to see CM Punk actually fight in the UFC, after 2015 came and went without so much as a hint as to who the former WWE superstar would face.
Those fears were eased when Dana White confirmed that Punk will be fighting in 2016 in the wake of Kenny Florian's comments, but now new it appears that Dana has someone in mind.
White's reality TV show 'Lookin' For A Fight' aired it's first episode on the UFC's official YouTube channel this week, and the show consists of the UFC president travelling around the US looking for upcoming talent in regional MMA shows, and when one opportunistic fighter addressed Dana in his post-fight spiel, it went down rather well..

The man in question is Mickey Gall, who asked for CM Punk after his first pro fight, but White clearly liked the confidence of the kid, and speaking to Fox Sports who sought his views after seeing the show, it's clear that he fancies himself:
I finish CM Punk. I'm not sure if I knock him out or I submit him, but I think it ends and I think it ends in the first round
I'm supremely confident. I think I'm made for this fight, it's a dream opportunity. I did think I'd get to the UFC one day but didn't think it would happen this quick but I'm extremely ready. If this comes to fruition, I'll be a happy man.
I have a lot respect for CM Punk, I think he's a self-made guy, he did incredible things in professional wrestling. I think in MMA, he's stepping into our arena, in my field, what I've been practicing the past seven years of my life. I respect him. I don't really have anything bad to say about him
Now, while the bout is yet to be confirmed, knowing Dana White there is a high chance that it could happen. The publicity that would surround it, having found the opponent on his new TV show which will obviously help boost views, it's a way to ease CM Punk into action against a fellow newcomer. It makes a lot of sense.
